I apologise for the lack of podcast last month but RiverSystem was redecorating his studio and there wasn’t enough memory on my ipad or my iphone to use my irig mic. I’ve replaced my phone though so I’ll be using that to record my podcast this month to try.

I mentioned in my last podcast that I was knitting up my sample of my new design the Streaming Through the Mountains Cowl. It’s finished and the pattern is available on Ravelry now for just £2.40. I’m really happy with the design and had it tech edited. I’d like to thank Amelia for tech editing the pattern for me and Hazel and Tracey for testing the pattern for me. If you want me to make you one, it’s available in my Etsy shop for £30 plus P&P.

I’ve made a few Dinosaur Hats over the last few months. I just finished an adult sized hat for a customer. If you want one it’s also available in my Etsy shop for £8.99 plus P&P.

If you want to order anything from my Etsy shop get in early because I’ll be closing my shop on the 21st of December so I can get my tax return completed. I apologise in advance but I need time to organise it and write clear instructions because in the new year I’ll be doing some basic tutorials on bookkeeping and tax returns for the Etsy team I’m in. Incidentally, the Cardiff & the Valleys Etsy team is having an Etsy Made Local event at the Tramshed in Cardiff on Sunday and RiverSystem will be performing at 3 o’clock in the afternoon if you fancy popping down.

I’ve made a few baby things in the last few months. I made a Winnie the  Pooh hat for a friend’s daughter. My friend is expecting so I wanted to make something so her daughter wouldn’t feel left out. I also made her a bat from a recent issue of Simply Crochet.

****STOP THE PRESSES!**** RiverSystem’s socks are finished! Finally! He’s really happy with them and didn’t take them off for about three days!

I had a commission for two pairs of gloves and a hat from a friend and I made her a scarf as a gift.

I’ve got loads on the go at the moment. I’m currently making knee high socks and a cowl and hat for a friend and a who’s repaying me with a reflexology session and a back and shoulder massage for RiverSystem. I’m also making a cardigan for RiverSystem’s guitar teacher in exchange for a free lesson and a blanket for my cousin’s baby that my uncle is paying me for. I’m making a ripple blanket for him using my own pattern which is now a free download on Ravelry.

To make sure  I’m making time for me this month, I’m making myself a few things. I’m currently making myself the Skinny Lace Scarf from this month’s Knit Now that was designed by my sister in law who blogs over at Knit Home. Once I’ve finished that I have a skein of Countess Ablaze’s yarn in Mutually Assured Destruction with my name on.

Like I said earlier, I’m really busy at the moment with work so I haven’t had a lot of time to plan future projects. I’m really excited to start the Sarana Cowl by Rae Gronmark for Sadie. I’ve also managed to crack two at a time magic loop socks which is a big thing for me! Next stop cabling! I bought the Tin Can Knits book ‘Handmade In the UK’ this month. There are a few patterns in the book that I want to make including the Winding Way Socks.

My Nan saw my Mandala Waistcoat from an old issue of Simply Crochet and asked me to make her one so I’m  going to be busy over the next few months.

Why not head to your local Etsy Made Local event? Details are here! I’m in the CAVETSY team and details of our event is here!

What are you up to over the next few months and weeks.
